So what exactly is coaching?

Coaching is a series of confidential conversations whereby the coach acts as your thinking partner. Working with you to help you to be more creative in finding solutions to problems, tackle challenges you face, make decisions, and implement changes which will enable you to move forwards in whatever it is that you want to do and achieve.

Coaching will help you to become more aware about what you think and do; giving you the ability to transform the way you approach challenges you face, and create positive, sustainable change.

Coaching offers the opportunity to pause and consider where you are and where you want to be, in your life and in your work. It’s an investment in yourself. Time out of your busy days to consider how best to move forwards.

In my coaching work there is a big emphasis on helping you to be mindful of your health and wellbeing, as you look to what’s next for you. I believe that if you take care of yourself and take the time to consider what’s best for you and therefore where to focus your time and energy, that you will give yourself the best chance to thrive in all you do.

Coaching conversations are helpful both for personal issues and for those in the workplace. If you are an individual looking to invest your time and energy into making your life better somehow coaching can help. If you are a leader in a business, or a business owner, a coaching conversation can help to support you and your business-to make sustainable, positive changes which will encourage growth in the business and support health and wellbeing in the workplace.

How does coaching work?

First of all, you contact me to arrange a free discovery call which we can do via Zoom, phone or in person depending on your preference and on location. This will last around 30 minutes and give us the opportunity to meet and discuss your needs and the costs involved so that you can decide if I’m the coach for you.

If you are happy to go ahead, we will meet on a regular basis for a one to one conversation where we will explore what you are looking to achieve/change, and work through any challenges you are facing.

Change takes time and to see results a commitment of at least 4-6 sessions is recommended although I do offer individual sessions too if there is something in particular you want to work through.


Coaching can help you if…

You’re feeling overwhelmed, exhausted and are ready to make some changes.

You’re feeling stuck, at a cross-roads or a bit lost and aren’t sure how to move on.

You feel unfulfilled or lack a sense of purpose, and are wondering what to do next.

You find yourself procrastinating, lacking in confidence or struggling to find the motivation to do the things you want and need to do.

You want to feel happier and more optimistic about your future and you’re ready to start prioritising your wants and needs more.

 

I like to think of coaching as going for a drive together. As the client, you are in the driving seat. I will be sitting alongside you to help you to focus and stay on track. You decide the speed and direction of travel. Occasionally, you will glance in the rear view mirror, but mostly we’re looking straight ahead at where you want to go. There may be bumps in the road and we will navigate those together. Ultimately you are in control of how and when we get to your destination.
